Franklin Performance Tour - Round 2 - Wellington Speedway!

Second stop of the tour we rolled into Wellington Family Speedway.

They don’t have a burnout pad, but we were lucky enough to use a section of the old D1NZ drift track. Not ideal for going full noise, but it was more than enough to give the crowd something different. This night wasn’t about going out and doing the biggest skids we could.
It was about putting on a show, giving people a taste of what pro burnout cars are all about. And to be fair, when those cars are on limiter inside a speedway, bouncing noise off the walls, it hits pretty hard.

One of the best parts of the night for me was seeing Charlotte get out there in SKDMRK and have a go. That’s what it’s about. Showing that anyone can get involved in this, not just the boys. We also had the kids colouring comp running in the merch trailer, sold a heap of merch, and had some good yarns with people throughout the night. That side of it is just as important as the driving.

Big thanks to the boys for helping out, Wellington Family Speedway for backing us and letting us make it happen, and Franklin Performance for being there the whole way through.
